Of Challenges and Clinical Checkups (Note the Alliteration)

Hi again!

I apologize for the lack of updates recently, but it was because I was really, truly busy. Hmm... Let's see what I have been up to in the past few days...

Wednesday 1/8-Went to the Polyclinic to do my asthma review and see a doctor about my knee problem, then got referred to KK Hospital. Came back at around 6+.

Thursday 2/8-Went to KK Hospital for my checkup, found out that I had to come back for a review and go for physiotherapy. Came back at 6+, nearly 7. Brilliant, right? The 'fun' things never stop.

Friday 3/8-Went to ACS (I) for a concert and came back at 10+.

See? Therefore, I cannot be blamed for the lack of updates. =)

During yesterday's recess, Ms Sie called for a meeting and we kind of finalized the details on the book. So far, we have decided on:

a) Writing poems on whatever we want (instead of for the visually handicapped)

b) Recording our voices when we read our poems onto an audio CD (since the visually handicapped prefer listening)

c) Writing a short autobiography (before our poems)

d) Having our 'candid' pictures above our autobiography, and

e) Having a 'profound' quote, thought up by the Prof. (of course)

That's about it for now.

Anyways, I found out that our school has a long way to improve, in terms of visual asthetics, when I visited ACS (I) yesterday. They have a soccer field (which we don't have), statues (which we also don't have), glossy, tiled floors and huge open spaces (sadly, we have neither), and most of all, an Arts' Festival!

I was thinking, why can't we have an Arts' Festival too, especially since our school's niche is in the Arts? I am seriously going to raise it as a suggestion at the end of the year; SC without an Arts' Fest. just doesn't seem right!

Scars-For Dilys

Half moon marks dug deep into pale, pearly skin.
Crimson liquid leaked out of the many orifices.
Splattered by heavier, resounding drops.
Typical.

Grieve and mourn.
Live and let live.
And so we move on.

Scars are not signs of the weak.
They are the markings of the brave, the heroic.
of those who fought, but perished,
of those who survived, but just barely.

They show the paths in our lives
the wrong turns we took
and the choices Destiny made for us.

Scars.
